How much does a website cost?
There are a few different factors that determine the cost of a website.
- How many pages
- Any additions
- Complexity of design and development
- Timeframe required
Are website changes included in my basic maintenance package?
Great question! The basic maintenance package includes updating the software and having the latest in performance and security to keep the website running smoothly, but it doesn’t include any updates to the website content itself.
If you are interested in changes to the website content, we base changes at ? an hour.
We also have a more involved maintenance retainer if you anticipate frequent and consistent changes to your website. This includes the updates in the basic maintenance package, plus an additional 2 hours per month of support. This package is ? plus HST / year.
What is hosting, maintenance and domain?
Hosting: We keep your website on our web server. This makes all files that complete a website (code, images, etc.) available for viewing online. Every website has to be hosted on a server.
Maintenance: This includes us upkeeping the website components and keeping it up to date so there are no issues, and making sure the latest performance and security updates are applied. We also have maintenance packages that include technical support which can be viewed here: LINK
Domain: Is the name/address of your website that people type in the browser URL bar to visit your website. Nobody else can use that specific address once you’ve paid for it.
What Does Our Hosting Package Include?
We prefer to host our clients on our own dedicated server so if ever there are any issues or change requests, we have full unrestricted access to resolved things asap.

My website has launched, can I make changes?
Do you redesign existing websites?
Absolutely. We’ll take a look at your current website and let you know where we think it can improve.
Do you work internationally?
We use Slack, Zoom, Skype and many other online applications which allow us to work online with you throughout a project, no matter where you are in the world.
My website is down! What should I do?
If your website is being hosted by us, please contact us and we will assist you. Otherwise, please contact your hosting provider and they will get you back online.
Security of client passwords:
Our client passwords are stored in a secure password management software made for businesses that uses bank-grade 256-bit AES encryption to ensure all passwords are stored safely, it has a zero-knowledge policy, and it includes many advanced multi-factor authentication options for extra layers of security.
Only Chelsey and Michael have access to the password, and we also recommend our clients change their passwords periodically when they share them with 3rd parties or access their sites from public places.
You can also change your password temporarily for us to go in and set up everything, and then change it back when you are done. We will let you know as soon as we are done using it.
Is WordPress really the best platform?
WordPress is by far the most popular website platform in the world. It’s incredibly flexible and robust. You can effectively build any type of website on WordPress. However, there are plenty of suitable alternatives. Your choice of platform doesn’t matter too much. It’s more important to find a developer who knows what they’re doing
Will I be able to update the site myself?
Yes! We will schedule you in for a training session via Zoom so it’s live and you can ask questions along the way, to ensure that you fully understand how to navigate the site. We will record this session for you and give you the link where you and your team will be able to access it anytime!
Do I need to provide Content?
Yes, if you have content ready we will upload it to the website, alternatively we offer copywriting services at an additional cost.
Do you offer ongoing help with our new site once it's launched?
We certainly do offer support to help you with all of your website needs, this is completely optional and all of our websites are made so you can add, edit and update every part of your website yourself.
