Photography, Web Design & Development
Mo Duffy
Mo Duffy is a Charlottetown author, editor and book coach, and co-founder of Pownal Street Press. We designed and developed a website as warm and story-driven as she is, and photographed the branding shoot behind it, giving Mo one home for her books, her editorial services and her writing life.
Project Details
Mo wears many hats: memoirist, children’s author, editor, mentor and publisher. Her new website needed to bring them all together without losing her voice. We built a bold, editorial site around Mo’s own world, from the pink typewriter to the deep plum palette and her playful “Editrix and Forest Nymph” tagline, with clear paths to her books, her services and her writing. Behind the scenes, custom content types make it easy for Mo to add new books, publications and blog posts as her catalogue grows.

Books
Each of Mo’s books has its own page, from her memoir Unpacked: From PEI to Palawan to picture books like A is for Anne and Crescent Moon Friends. The Books page gathers them in one gallery with purchase links, while individual book pages share the story, publisher and illustrator credits, alongside reviews of Mo’s work.

Branding Photography
We photographed Mo’s branding shoot to capture the editor behind the words: laughter at her pink typewriter, notebooks and manuscripts, and the small details that tell her story. The images run throughout her new website and give her a consistent library for social media, book promotion and press.

Mobile-First
Many of Mo’s readers and writers find her on their phones, so every page, from the book gallery to individual blog posts, is designed to read beautifully on a small screen, with purchase and contact buttons always close at hand.
