Cavendish Maples Cottages

Cavendish Maples Cottages is a family-run cottage resort tucked into a grove of mature trees in the heart of Cavendish, PEI, welcoming guests since the 1980s. We designed and developed a warm, photo-led website that helps couples, families and golfers find the right cottage and book their stay in a few clicks.

Cavendish Maples has a loyal following of returning guests, and its website needed to feel as welcoming as the cottages themselves while making it easy for first-time visitors to choose and book. We built the site around the decisions guests actually make: which cottage fits their group, which package suits their trip and how close they'll be to the beaches, golf courses and attractions of Cavendish. Cottages, packages and gallery photos are easy for the Cavendish Maples team to update, and Book Now buttons throughout the site lead straight into their Cloudbeds booking engine.

Guests start by choosing the cottage that fits their group: one-bedroom cottages for couples, two- and three-bedroom cottages for families and friends, and the Hammies Haven beach house for larger groups. Each type has its own tab with cottage cards, cottage numbers and a Book Now button that opens that cottage in the booking engine, alongside an illustrated property map so guests can see exactly where they'll stay.

Seven packages, from golf getaways and a week of unlimited golf to family fun and romantic escapes, give guests a ready-made reason to book. Each package has its own page, and a Book a Package form collects dates, group size, rounds of golf and preferences so the team can reply with pricing.

The Our Location page shows guests how close everything is, with driving directions from the Confederation Bridge, Charlottetown Airport, Wood Islands Ferry and downtown Charlottetown, plus a custom map of 13 nearby attractions, beaches and golf courses with their distances, from Shining Waters Fun Park to Green Gables.

A filterable gallery lets guests browse photos by cottage size or by what matters most to them, from kid-friendly spaces and the outdoors to the pool and the cottages themselves, so they know exactly what to expect before they arrive.

Many guests plan their getaway on their phones, so every page is designed for small screens first, with a Book Now button always in the header and cottage tabs, packages and directions that are easy to tap through.
